Camporee Scoring

Camporee Scoring and Awards

Patrol Achievement Awards:  All patrols will be scored against the same standard and will be categorized according to scoring ranges.  Each event score is a composite score made up of 80 points based on proficiency and 20 points based on spirit and cooperation.  All five scout skill events are averaged for the day for the patrols.  Skill Ribbons will be awarded based on the range into which a patrol's average falls.  (The following score ranges are for illustration; we reserve the right to move the final ranges based on what we see coming out of actual scores.)

Epic Skill (purple): 80 to 100 points

Rare Skill (blue): 70 to 80 points

Classic Skill (green): 55 to 70 points

Initiate Skill (white): 55 points and below

Patrol Spirit Awards: Spirit Scores will be categorized similarly to the skill ranges above and announced by honorable mention.

Patrol Class Awards: The top three event skill scores in three average age groups will be announced by honorable mention.  These groups will be 11-12, 13-14, and 15 and up.

Troop Campsite Awards:  Campsite organization, neatness, and inventiveness will be judged during the day while the Scouts are at their events.  The top three scoring Troops will be announced by honorable mention.

Troop Spirit Awards: In deference to the history of the Sammamish Trails Camporee, three Spirit Ribbons will be awarded to the Troops having the top three patrol spirit scores, maximum of one per Troop..

Troop Achievement Awards:  In deference to the history of the Sammamish Trails Camporee, three Skill Ribbons will be awarded to the Troops having the top three patrol skill scores, maximum of one per Troop.
